A Taste of Black Gwinnett – Spring Edition 2024

“A Taste of Black Gwinnett – Spring Edition” is happening Friday, April 19, 2024, 6-10 p.m. showcasing products, services and the diverse  food from the Black diaspora of Gwinnett County. We have added Black Youthpreneurs. Free admission. Food samplings are $6, $9 and $12. The event is held at the Norcross Cultural Arts and Community Center at 10 College Street in Norcross, GA.

African, African American, Caribbean, and Latin cuisines will be highlighted with our famous Black Culture Game, prizes, music and more! Bring the entire family as the event has something for everyone.

What is the state of Black-owned businesses in Gwinnett County? One of the major challenges of Black-owned businesses is having a diverse customer base. There are many factors that have brought us to this place in 2023, but we can change the statistics of Black-owned businesses in Gwinnett by working in collaboration with county, city and state official, power brokers and stakeholders to change the statistics. Gwinnett County is home to a diverse population with a thriving business community. However, one major issue facing Black businesses in the county is the challenge of having a diverse customer base. Black-owned businesses struggle to attract customers from outside the Black community, which limits their growth potential and hinders their ability to thrive. County officials and stakeholders in Gwinnett must be intentional about helping Black business owners overcome this challenge and build a more diverse customer base.
