Connecting the Cultural Disconnect: Black-Owned Businesses in Gwinnett County Meeting

June 5, 2023 @ 1:30 pm - 2:30 pm

State of Black-owned businesses in gwinnett county

Gwinnett County is home to a diverse population with a thriving business community. However, one major issue facing Black businesses in the county is the challenge of having a diverse customer base. Black-owned businesses struggle to attract customers from outside the Black community, which limits their growth potential and hinders their ability to thrive. County officials and stakeholders in Gwinnett must be intentional about helping Black business owners overcome this challenge and build a more diverse customer base.

We met for the first to address this topic on Monday, May 1, 2023. Thank you to Gwinnett County Economic Development Manager for attending the event. We are presenting part two of this initiative to allow officials of the 16 cities of Gwinnett County to attend, since they could not adjust their schedules to come for the May 1, 2023 meeting.
